He further manages the Advos8se’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity and goal achievement across the various departments
With twenty years of experience as a senior attorney, litigator, and negotiator and over ten years of experience as a litigation funder Michael brings a rare combination of legal precision and systems-level thinking to Advoc8se’s leadership team. His background enables him to translate legal requirements, compliance obligations, and court-driven processes into scalable, technology-enabled workflows that support institutional-grade asset management and reporting.
Michael began his legal career as an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, working within the Department of Justice at the South Gauteng High Court before entering private practice. He built a highly versatile litigation practice specializing in commercial, commercial crime, tax, and regulatory matters. Over the course of his career, Michael has represented private individuals, public entities, and multinational companies in high-profile disputes across South Africa and internationally.
At Advoc8se, Michael plays a central role in shaping platform strategy, ensuring that claimant data, docket intelligence, and financial reporting systems align with legal standards, compliance requirements, and the expectations of law firms, litigation funders, and institutional partners. His leadership ensures that Advoc8se’s technology not only supports operational efficiency, but also strengthens legal defensibility, data integrity, and long-term scalability.
Michael holds a BA (Law) from the University of Stellenbosch and an LLB from the Rand Afrikaans University. He is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Legal Practice Council of South Africa.
